This is an opportunity to be a key contributor at a pivotal time in our company's growth and at a pivotal point in computing history.<br><br><strong>Overview</strong>:<br><br>We are seeking an experienced sales executive focused on Federal accounts with a minimum of 10 years sales experience, particularly within the data analytics industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales of VAST Data's groundbreaking data platform product. This role requires exceptional evangelism skills, deep understanding of the database industry landscape, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:<br><br><ul><li>Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand VAST Data's customer base.</li><li>Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building.</li><li>Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within target accounts.</li><li>Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition of VAST Data's innovative data platform.</li><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product management, and customer success to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and alignment with company objectives.</li><li>Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to effectively position VAST Data's solutions in the market.</li><li>Negotiate contracts and close deals while adhering to company policies and procedures.</li><li>Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports to management.</li><li>Serve as a brand ambassador for VAST Data, representing the company with professionalism and integrity at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.</li><li>Continuously strive for personal and professional growth through ongoing learning and development initiatives.</li></ul><br><br> <b>Requirements</b><br><br><ul><li>Consistent track record of exceeding quota and driving referencable business with large enterprise customers.</li><li>A history of developing selling regions from the ground up, with little resources.</li><li>Passion for developing account expansion strategies and the value of post-sales customer success.</li><li>Excellent time management and communication skills.</li><li>Desire to drive change and evangelize new technologies in a way that resonates with customers.</li><li>Minimum of 7 years Direct Enterprise selling experience</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment experience is key, a mix of large company and startup experience.</li><li>The ability to speak with customers and partners at both a business-level and technical-level</li><li>Knowledge of the storage industry specifically: NFS, Object Storage and Enterprise Computing architectures.</li><li>Competitive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to enthusiastically represent the company.</li><li>Proficient with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office</li></ul></div>
